Napa grass fire causes evacuation orders, threatens structures

(KRON) -- Evacuations have been ordered for a Napa fire that is threatening structures, the Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit (LNU) announced on Twitter. The fire is in the 1100 block of Coombsville Road. The map below shows the evacuation zone. Evacuation zone map from Cal Fire LNU.Cal Fire said the fire has burned 10-15 acres of grass. Cal Fire LNU and the Napa Fire Department are in "unified command" and a full wildland response has been ordered. The fire is about 1.5 miles east of the Oxbox Public Market in Napa. SF has already seized more fentanyl from street dealers this year than all of 2022

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- At the mid-way point of the year, the San Francisco Police Department has already seized more fentanyl from street-level dealers than in all of 2022, according to Supervisor Matt Dorsey. In a tweet thread citing narcotics stats from the SFPD Tenderloin Station, Dorsey posted a graphic illustrating that in the first two quarters of 2023, seizures in SFPD's Tenderloin District totaled 68.52 kilos (151 pounds). Suspect arrested in Levi’s Stadium stabbing That's over three kilos more than the entire amount seized in the Tenderloin District last year -- 65.37 kilos (144 pounds). Since 2021, the amount of fentanyl seized in the Tenderloin has more than doubled. Man accused in fatal Washington music festival shooting pleads not guilty

SEATTLE (AP) — A 26-year-old member of the U.S. military accused of fatally shooting two women and wounding three other people at a music festival at Washington state’s Gorge Amphitheatre has entered not guilty pleas to multiple charges. Kelly pleaded not guilty Wednesday to two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault and one count of first-degree domestic violence assault in the shooting at the Beyond Wonderland electronic dance music festival, according to Grant County Superior Court documents. Seattle couple Brandy Escamilla and Josilyn Ruiz died in the June 17 shooting. A public defender was assigned to Kelly, whose next court appearance is set for July 25.
